The Tara Towers Hotel, close to Dublin 4, is located on the Merrion Road, minutes from the Blackrock Clinic and St. Vincent Hospital and a 5 minute drive to RTE and UCD. 

The Tara Towers Hotel is a 10 minute drive to the:

  • Aviva Stadium, formerly known as Landsdowne Road, home to International rugby and football matches, as well as concerts. 
  • Royal Dublin Society (RDS), one of Ireland’s most popular exhibition centres. 
  • O2 Concert Stadium in Dublin 1, (formerly known as ‘the Point’). 
  • Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin 2 .   
 

Both the O2 and the Bord Gais Energy Theatre are in the newly refurbished Docklands area and easily accessible by DART.

It is also convenient for those who want to shop in Dundrum Shopping Centre

As well as the free parking at the Tara Towers hotel, there are many convenient transport options: the DART train; and public and private buses. 

FROM DUBLIN AIRPORT

The Tara Towers Hotel is easy to reach from Dublin Airport by car, taxi or bus.  Times vary depending on traffic, but allow for about 50 minutes for your journey from the airport to the hotel.

Taxis are available from the taxi rank outside the airport arrivals terminal. The journey to the hotel will cost approximately €30-€45 depending on traffic.

Bus: The Aircoach: 

Take the the Dalkey/Greystones route from the airport and this bus will bring you right outside the Tara Towers Hotel.  As the journey takes only 30-35 minutes, the Aircoach is a very convenient for our guests. This aircoach bus service runs every 10-20 minutes all day and once an hour off-peak (12am - 4am).

Dublin Bus: 

The Tara Towers Hotel is serviced by 3 public bus routes which stop directly in front of the hotel. The journey from the city centre to the Tara Towers takes about 20 minutes. The cost is €2.15 for an adult and exact change is needed as no change is given on Dublin buses.

Dublin Rail, DART: 

The Booterstown DART station is located just opposite the Tara Towers Hotel. This DART rail system runs along Dublin’s coast line and links Greystones in the south of Dublin to Howth in the north of Dublin, travelling through the city centre.

Driving to Tara Towers Hotel from the M50 motorway:

Take exit number 14 (marked Sandyford) off the M50. 

Within 200 metres, you will come to a small roundabout, take the first exit. 

At the next roundabout, take the third exit down Leopardstown Road (you will see a sign for Westwood gym on your right). 

Keep driving straight down Leopardstown Road, through a major junction with traffic lights. (This junction is known as White’s Cross) and drive straight down Newtownpark Avenue and continue straight for approximately 2.5 km until you reach a T-junction. 

Turn left at this T-junction. Keep straight for 1.25km, looking out for the Blackrock Clinic on your left. Once you see the Blackrock Clinic, you will see the Tara Towers Hotel on your left about 300 meters after this.
