Restaurant/Bar

Both The Tara Towers ‘Ocras Restaurant’ and ‘Branagans Irish Bar’ are open daily. 

‘Ocras’ means hunger in Irish, and our delicious cuisine is guaranteed to whet and fulfil your appetite. Frequented by Dubliners, guests and tourists alike, Ocras is a distinctive restaurant serving both traditional Irish cuisine and Mediterranean fare.

We offer delicious food at an affordable price, all served by friendly, helpful staff. 

Breakfast is served daily:

Monday to Saturday: 7.00am - 10.30am 

Sundays and public holidays: 7.30am – 10.30am

€14.50 for full Irish breakfast; €10.60 for continental breakfast. Both include tea or coffee.

Carvery Lunch: 12pm to 3pm (Monday to Sunday), served in either the bar or the restaurant.

The Carvery is €10.50, and offers you have a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian options - all served with freshly cooked potatoes and seasonal country vegetables or salad. 

Restaurant A La Carte Menu: 5.00pm to 8.45pm (Monday to Saturday). The restaurant is closed on Sunday.   

Starters, which start at €4.95 include:  

• the Towers Seafood chowder  (tender morsels of seafood bound in a light fish veloute)
• a Camembert Tartlet (served with red onion and peppers)
• Soup of the day served with brown bread. 

A la carte main courses, which start from €12.95 include:

• Braised Duck Leg, served with red cabbage and colcannon
• Cajun Salmon with lemon butter served with mashed potatoes
• Flash Seared Breast of Chicken, served on roast root vegetable with tarragon gravy. 

Desserts, all priced at €4.95 include:

• White chocolate cheesecake, served with fresh cream
• Warm apple pie, served with ice-cream
• Profiteroles with chocolate sauce.

The Early Bird Menu is available from 5.00pm to 7.00pm, Monday  to Saturday.

The Early Bird is €18.95 for 2 courses, and €23 for 3 courses -  both include free tea and coffee.

BRANAGAN'S IRISH BAR

Branagan's traditional Irish pub @ the Tara Towers

The Tara Towers bar, Branagans, with its wooden floors and open fires is a homely place, where you can relax with friends or family, or enjoy a meal on your own with the newspaper. 

On those cold days, find a cosy spot and warm up beside one of the warming, open fires.  

And in the summer you can enjoy a drink on the outside patio. 

Branagan's Pub plays live music and major sporting events are shown live on the large flat screens. The full bar serves both local and imported beers. 

Branagan’s is a great venue for after-work drinks and family celebrations. Hot food and sandwich platters are available and large bookings are welcomed. 

Bar Food is served daily from 3.00pm to 9.45pm.  

A very popular bar food option is our Daily Special,  which costs €15 and includes a hot dinner and a quarter bottle of wine, or a pint of beer or stout.  The meal on offer varies every day, and includes options like: beef in oyster sauce, served with rice; shepherd’s pie with chips; or chicken curry. 

A carvery is served daily from 12 noon to 3pm each day in the bar. The carvery menu changes daily with both a meat and a ‘fish of the day option’, served with freshly cooked potatoes and seasonal country vegetables or salad.
